When we met Asha an acclaimed CBC News reporter and her fiancé Ryan, we as editorial photographers were instantly excited and intrigued at the prospect of planning and executing an engagement photo shoot for such a charming and organized couple. As huge fans of the locally shot legal tv series Suits, this stylized editorial shoot was completed in One King West Hotel. Taking inspiration from James Bond and Suits, they desired for their engagement shoot to be sleek, sophisticated, and devastatingly glamorous.

The One King West condo Hotel housed in Toronto’s historic Dominion Bank Building and located in the heart of Toronto’s financial, entertainment and shopping district was the most inspired choice of location for Asha and Ryan’s highly stylized engagement shoot (and similarly would be a stunning venue to hold a wedding ceremony and reception at). We chose to shoot in the hotel’s historic Grand Banking Hall and underground vault. The stunning gold coffered ceiling, regal Corinthian columns, and soaring light-filled cathedral windows in the Grand Banking Hall combined with the mysterious underground vault resulted in an engagement photo shoot that was worthy of being featured in any high fashion editorial magazine spread.
